The side covers on my bike ('87) are off, and I should put them back on. The right side fell off somewhere and I had to go to a local junk yard and buy one for $20, and paint it black. The holes through the plastic air cleaner cover are all stripped out, and I haven't a clue how to fix it without making it look strange. The metal tab on the left side snapped off and I wonder if this is fixable without disassembling half of the bike.
Any suggestions?
Also per Mike Hartman's post: The previous owner drilled out my stock muffler and it is not satisfactory. I would buy an aftermarket. (At this point I'd buy an old stock ones for the right price. there must be a hundred of them lying around.)
